Coincidence? Or is someone from FastSpring reading this? For the time being, I'll leave the review with 2-stars, there's still a lot to be done during the setup of the store. I must say that only 3 hours after my post here, the store finally got created. That is why I had to come here, in the hope that someone would listen. While I was waiting, I found it particularly distressing the fact that there is no phone number or way of contacting them to file a complaint. Due to the slow response provided, I had my development paralyzed for two whole days. They took an additional 10 hours to finally create the store (a total of 40 hours since I asked). Anyway, I replied immediately after receiving their email. I wished they they mentioned that in documentation, so I could provide the information up front when I submitted the ticket. They took 30 hours to reply and asked me what name should they use for the store's url. Requested a new store (ticket 00842752, in case anyone from FastSpring is reading) 2. This is when everything started to go wrong: 1. According to the FastSpring documentation, the procedure to create a new store cannot be done by the user (me), it must be requested with a ticket, and so I did raise one.

For that, I need the support team to create a new store associated with my account. However, now I'm building a new website, it's all ready for release, except for the FastSpring integration. Whenever I needed assistance, they were prompt to reply. I've been using FastSpring for 10 years and never had a complaint.

We'd like every supplier to offer their services and products for free ) Are they worth the extra? Absolutely! Maybe it's because we're not fond of nightmares, but we find FastSpring indispensable. Do I wish they were a bit cheaper? Yes, of course. Their support team is responsive (despite the time difference between us here in the UK and California) and always spot on with their advice. They deal with all of that and make it very simple for our customers to buy from us and very simple for us to interact with them - both digitally on our web site and, on the very rare occasion when we've needed it, contacting their support team. Handling payments in all the different currencies our customers use and dealing with the different tax regimes of their respective countries would be a huge nightmare were it not for FastSpring. We have customers on every continent and in most countries.

We've been using them for 10 years and they have been superb in every respect for us. This review is intended to be helpful to anyone that offers a digital product or service and is considering using FastSpring's payment processing service. I suspect that, in most of these cases, the issue is more likely caused by the supplier rather than FastSpring. Most of those, if not all, seem to be complaints from people who buy from a supplier that uses FastSpring. We decided to write this review to try to counterbalance at least some of the bad reviews here.
